I am finally done with this piece - thank god! It is not like I hated doing this- the character was really lovely and I had quite a lot of freedom considering background and stuff but when I started searching I had no real idea what I was looking for. It took me almost one and a half days to finally find some fitting pictures which I believed I could work with to correctly express what I had in mind. And it turned out like that - partly.
Working on the light was absolutely horrible. I am never going to use one bright and one dim light source together again
The tribals are probably not like they are supposed to be. I wanted to make them look like metal, ended up adding weird lightning which made it look like fire rather than metal. Though my idea behind it was, that there is some kind of sheen running through these tribals along with the heartbeat. I hope you get what I mean ^^

The horn I drew looked horrible and I was so excited when I found this horn with all these carvings which are not too dominant but still fairly visible.

Btw, I am sorry it took me so long Along with the usual problems (mane, tail and such things) I had to face the worst thing that can happen to an artist (of what kind of art soever): your comp just deletes your save files and you can start all anew! I had done mane, tail, some tribal and lightning and my comp suddenly shut down and the last 3-4 save-files were gone. Then I couldn't work with GIMP anymore (it opened but my tablet wouldn't properly connect to it) because of some vires which suddenly infested my laptop and yeah... wasn't my best day, really ^^
